How to Add Open Graph and Optimize Images for Social Sharing?

Created by Alice Chen, Modified on Thu, 11 Jul at 12:52 PM by Alice Chen

Open Graph is a protocol first created by Facebook for extracting the title, images, URL, and meta-information from a webpage and displaying it in a social media post. Today, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn all use open graph protocol to help publishers include more content on the front of their social media posts.

Here's an example of an image formatted with Open Graph for optimal display on Facebook:

  1. Enter the company page and click on “Edit Company Info”.
  2. Upload the open graph image in the "Facebook page URL" field of the "Basic Info" tab. Use images that are 1200 x 630 pixels (or the same ratio 2400 x 1260 pixels or 600 x 315 pixels ) for the best display outcome.
